Joe Sebok

This next entry will describe Joe Sebok, another poker professional that supports a UB bonus. If you don’t recognize Sebok, you should recognize his stepdad, Barry Greenstein. Sebok is originally from California, and he went pro back in 2005. He’s been encouraging the UB bonus since the second half of 2009.

Tournaments are Sebok’s bread and butter, and he’s cashed live events for a total of a little under $2 million. He has never won a World Series of Poker bracelet, but he’s cashed 15 times so far. His best showing in the Main Event has been 56th place, which happened in 2009. Seeing as tournaments are his main game, I’m curious to know whether or not he tries MTTs on a Full Tilt Poker download or uses a PokerStars bonus code every once in a while. Since he’s a UB pro, he’ll definitely never disclose that information to the public!

Sebok is well known in the poker community. He founded PokerRoad.com with Greenstein, a website that contains blogs, radio, and TV all related to poker. He co-hosts the PokerRoad Radio with Gavin Smith, fellow professional player and good friend. Maybe you have watched the Internet program “Prop Bets”, a show in which Sebok and Smith compete against each other in various prop bets in things such as mechanical bull riding and belly slapping. The Internet show stemmed after Sebok lost a prop bet that forced him to wear 3 different costumes to the 2006 WSOP Main Event, including a bear with a diaper, Spider-Man, and Wonder Woman. He definitely doesn’t lead a normal life, and it’s pretty clear that Sebok doesn’t need poker downloads and MTTs to bring home the bacon.

Sebok is pretty young, so there’s probably a lot more to come in the near and far future. He’s been a pro for a mere five years, and one would think that he’ll place first in a WSOP event in the next year or two. He played on internet sites when he first started playing poker, so you should do the same if you’re determined to become a better player. It wouldn’t surprise me if Sebok told you to avoid other sites like a Full Tilt or Carbon Poker download, though. That’s his job as a UB spokesman, after all!
